John Leedock
CEO & Chief Knowledge Officer
John Leedock is the founder and CEO of Alliance Global Mobility Consultants. After working for 20 years in the field immigration and international education, John decided to take a more holistic view of Global Mobility and now focuses his attention on helping people move to places that will best help them achieve their personal and professional dreams.
Having worked with immigrants from all walks of life, high net worth individuals looking to enhance their lifestyle or refugees and asylees seeking a safe place to call home, John bring a unique perspective to Global Migration that holistically blends lifestyle preferences with hard elements of Global Migration such as employment needs, acculturation, and legal issues.
In addition to his role at AGMC, John serves as the Board President of Compass Immigration Legal Services, a nonprofit organization he helped found in 2019 to address the immigration legal needs of families in the South Central Pennsylvania area. John has taught classes at universities in the United States, China, and South America. He is regularly invited to speak at state, national and professional conferences on the intersection of the U.S. Immigration Policy and International Education.
Marcela Ruiz
Director of Business Development
Marcela Ruiz currently serves as the Business Development and Client Success Manager with Alliance Global Mobility Consultants. After spending 13 years in the medical field as a physiotherapist, she became heavily involved with the U.S. Immigration policy while migrating to the U.S. from Colombia. Having achieved professional success in the medical field, she now focuses her attention on assisting clients of AGMC to find ways to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Having migrated to another country she is acutely aware of the challenges inherent in the migration process. She has experienced the complexities of professional recredentialing, second language acquisition, and adapting to American culture.
In addition to her role at AGMC she is actively involved as a mentor to new immigration advocates at Compass Immigration Legal Services. In this capacity she provides mentorship and education to the new generation of immigration advocates.
She lives in Harrisburg Pennsylvania with her husband and children, and one crazy dog Mimi.
